The ILESLA programme is running a research project to help us better understand how students who have had a gap between their undergraduate studies and their postgraduate applications experience the process of application. The study also includes undergraduate mature students.
We are interested in your experiences as a prospective applicant to the ILESLA programme who may meet these criteria. We would like to invite you to complete a short survey as part of the research project. Details of the project, and what you would be asked to do, can be found here [insert link to corresponding participant information sheet], but a short summary is also provided below:
· You would be asked to complete a 15-20 minute survey.
· The survey would collect information about your personal characteristics - for instance, your socioeconomic background and ethnicity. This is to allow us to see if some groups of people face different kinds of barriers, or have different motivations, to others.
· You would then answer two open-text questions about your reasons for wanting to undertake postgraduate research, and any barriers you feel you have faced as a result of time spent away from academia or being a mature student.
· No directly identifying information, such as your name or email address, will be collected.
If you wish to take part in the research, please click the link below to undertake the survey. You will be prompted to confirm your eligibility for the study, read the information sheet in full, and complete a consent form, before the survey opens.
